Among all the Rosé wines we currently have, two tend to stand out among the others as elegant. We are proud of all our Rosé wines but these bottles come across as elegant packages. It's the glass cork that makes these packages stand out.
Wine with glass "corks" or stoppers are not only cool, they do a good job of sealing the wine. When you look at the stopper, you'll see there is a soft plastic gasket that seals the bottle. This gasket is fitted to the bottle neck and snaps into place when resealng. In light of the dwingling cork supply, expect to see alternative closures such as screw tops (Stelvin) or glass stoppers. Who knows what the next new development will be?
Blake's Hard Ciders of Michigan craft some truely amazing ciders and we've got three of them on our shelves. If you're a cider fan, you should try these:
The Tonic - Hard Cider Infused with Cucumber and Ginger. The combination of ginger and cucumber is wonderful, giving you a crisp cider on a hot day with a finish of ginger tingle. This is seasonal and will be availiable through July.
Flannel Mouth - Made with a wide array of late season table and dessert apples. This succulent combination gives it a sweet flavor than finishes with an incredible smoothness.
Made 100% with Michigan-grown apples, Flannel Mouth is sure to win you over. Again and again.
El Chavo - This ones is a little spiced up, but don't let it scare you away. This cider is made with a blend of habanero pepper, mango and apples giving it a great flavor with a nice, zesty finish. Experience a hard cider that’s really, honestly, truly like no other.
Wine in cans? You Bet!!! It's summer so you head to the pool, beach, lake, boat, waterfalls. Glass containers are out of the question, so what better option than cans. We like to go to the NC waterfalls and it's nice to have a little wine as we relax. We have been searching for wines in alternative containers that taste good and gone through about 10 different ones before we found four worthy of our taste buds - and our shelves. And if you're wondering if you get a "can" taste in the wine - you won't. Like beer and cider cans, wine cans are lined so the container is neutral to the contents.
