Bliss Family Vineyards and Brutocao Cellars are two of Mendocino County’s most notable wineries. Located just 1/3rd mile from each other they are also of related. Bliss Vineyards was started in the late 1930's by Irv Bliss. Len Brutocao met Martha Bliss while attending the University of California, Berkeley and eventually married. The Brutocao family had been growing grapes for wine production and eventually started making wine themselves. Now both vineyards are very active in growing and wine making. Alexis will fill in the missing parts of the story as you taste some wonderful Mendocino County wines.
